Welcome. My name is JoAnn Morris Matthews, author of Road Warriors, The Trouble with Mojo, Red, White, and Who, Move Over Miss Clover and K-9 POWER. I’m happy to have you as a visitor to my blog. This project is very special to me. I hope to share some of that excitement with you here. Books can be ordered from me directly by referencing: BOOKS to jamatthewstx@gmail.com. We can discuss elements of your order. All books range from $12-$18, including shipping. And, of course, I autograph them individually.
My books are presented to schools, military bases, clubs and organizations.
This blog will include random thoughts and new ideas for manuscripts from the author.
I’ll be using this blogging media to interact about books, expanding on some of the topics and posting ideas related to published books. This is a great place for you to get to know me, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you, too. What did you think of my books? What questions do you have for me? How do you relate to my book?
Writing a story line is letting words tumble onto a page in sequence. Edits and re-edits help to develop a good story line.
My Readers often ask how a book concept is developed.
MOVE OVER MISS CLOVER came from a dream I wrote down when I opened my eyes.
ROAD WARRIORS – LIFE LESSONS came from actual life lessons when my Dad taught me to drive. The lessons primarily should NEVER be used in reality. They set the tone for what one should not do when driving a vehicle.
THE TROUBLE WITH MOJO is based on a Vizsla puppy belonging to my grandchildren. He was trouble.
RED, WHITE AND WHO is a mystery centered in Granbury, Texas, where I lived for 20 years. I volunteered to help organize parts of the Granbury Annual July 4th Parade for 8 years. Many of the facts in the book are true.
K-9 POWER is a book requested by a pet store owner in Granbury. She worked with deputies and their K-9s on a regular basis. Her admiration for these K-9s and handlers led her to get me involved. I quickly shared her enthusiasm. The story line and book were conceived.
Enjoy reading, JoAnn
